Youtube Partnership and revenue-sharing video’s

YouTube partners and people applying for partnership sometimes need to supply clarification about their rights to use the music in their video’s, including their rights to use the music provided on this website.

Firstly, let me assure you that my music is perfectly fine to use in revenue-sharing video’s. Just remember to accredit the music either in the video or in the notes area of the video (see the licence page).

It appears You Tube like to test their new partners to make sure they understand the rules, so if at first they ask for more information/clarification, just persist and eventually they will allow your video through.

Try using the following statement when applying for revenue sharing on a video;

The music used in this video was arranged and produced by Rick Clarke - (aka Rickvanman on YouTube).

The music is fully licensed for personal and commercial re-broadcasting use under a general royalty free licence provided it is accredited correctly.

Full details of the royalty free licence and music can be found at Rickvanman's source website: http://Music4YourVids.co.uk

Rick (Rickvanman) invites any You Tube official to contact him directly via You Tube messages or email in the case of any queries arising from the use of this music in other peoples videos.

Hopefully this will cover you. I have now heard back from several partners who have said that the above statement did the trick when You Tube asked for clarification.

Cheers

Rick
